The world is on fire (literally), but is there actually anything you can do about it?
To Resist is to Love believes so. That’s why we’re organizing and hosting a community townhall to provide an open forum for organizers, activists, and everyday people to collectively grieve, build community, and exchange knowledge to help communities move forward.
As we plan to expand beyond the gates of Columbia University, we want to hear from you. Whatever your background is, you are a part of building a more beautiful, more free future for every person. What’s been the hardest part of participating/organizing/existing in the world? What opinions/peoples/ voices have been overshadowed? Which ones have been over-centered? What brings you hope? What do you wish the world could look like? What does the everyday work look like to actualize that vision?

The end of the semester does not mean the end of community and solidarity at Columbia! Sponsored by a collective of student groups, we’re inviting you to join us on May 6th for a day of relaxation, celebration, and unity. Bring your grief, your joy, your love, your resistance—we welcome everyone in all their forms as we honor our Earth and each other. Bring a blanket and a friend!
Join us on May, 6th at noon as we start the day with a park clean-up and open up the space for live music, art vendors, performances, and space to enjoy in each other’s company and make new friends. We hope to see you there!

To Resist is to Love What Could Be is excited to officially announce our project’s launch party fundraiser. We are beyond thrilled to curate a night of music, community, art, and solidarity THIS SATURDAY, February 3rd. All proceeds will be donated to help provide resources to menstruating people in Gaza. We have already raised over 250 dollars in ticket donations, and we to reach our initial goal of 400 dollars. Each donation is further proof of the power we hold as a collective.
We unfortunately have to cap our tickets at 85 people, so we encourage you to get your tickets ASAP! We suggest a donation of five dollars, but any increment of five above the recommended donation amount will allow you a choice between merch or our raffle. Dont worry if you can’t secure a ticket this time, we are planning a semester FULL of ways to engage with our community!

As our team continues preparing for our official launch, we want to provide students at Columbia with a way of amplifying their beliefs and voices through our stencil work.
A member of our team will be stenciling any clothes that you bring in tomorrow—free of charge. We currently have 3 designs—“FREE PALESTINE” (English & Arabic) and “COLUMBIA STUDENTS AGAINST GENOCIDE”. They will be located at Barnard’s Design Center inside Milstein from 3-5PM TOMORROW, November 12th. Please wait outside the center and send us a DM when you arrive! We will be spraypainting w/ black paint so please plan accordingly.
We hope this is one of many events to recognize the efforts of individuals in advocating for liberation and freedom.
Do not let administration stand in your way of declaring your support of freedom and liberation!

Join student-led organizations THIS Thursday from 5pm - 7pm at Butler Lawns for an evening of community, love, performance, and solidarity!
Six weeks ago, a group of college students in New York City came together to create a project, space, and philosophy dedicated to expanding how we envision community, solidarity, love, and genuine support for one another. Although we initially planned to launch our project to the world this week, we felt this was not the right time to ask students and people across the country to support us.
Instead of asking people to give to us, we wanted to provide a space to give back to the community we rely on. Right now, students need a space to not only express themselves but find love, support, and solidarity in the community around them.
So, we’re bringing together different student-led groups at Columbia University to celebrate our project’s motto: To Resist is To Love What Could Be. The evening will start with organizations performing culturally significant songs, dances, reciting poetry, and more! By bringing these groups together, our intention is to display the importance of solidarity, universal liberation, and community in trying moment like now.
Bring pillows, blankets, and snacks to Butler Lawns THIS Thursday from 5pm - 7pm to celebrate and support the beautiful cultures, histories, and resilient identities that make up our community‼️‼️
